Kitsilano Yacht Club is home to racing sailors

Kitsilano Yacht Club was founded in the summer of 1934 to foster amateur yachting on English Bay in Vancouver and encourage competition at the highest level. The club has been operating continuously since that date from its location near Kits pool and is home to many active one-design sailing fleets, including the Star, 5o5, Martin 242, Lightning, and Cal 20.

Kitsilano Yacht Club is also the home of outrigger canoe and SUP racing teams. Events happen frequently at Kitsilano Yacht Club and range from weekly evening races to annual regattas that bring an international fleet.
